Essentially, it’s easy being green in the City of Sydney; Free workshops that show you how!
26 October 2009
The Australian Conservation Foundation's GreenHome program, in conjunction with the City of Sydney, will present the latest sustainable ideas and solutions for energy saving at FREE workshops aimed at showing people how to make real changes in their homes and reduce energy bills. The GreenHome 'Essentials' workshops will run for an hour and a half, at three different locations in Sydney; Glebe, Surry Hills and Ultimo. "We're pleased to be launching the successful GreenHome 'Essentials' program in Sydney," said Alexandra Graham, GreenHome NSW Coordinator. "GreenHome will assist people to make changes to their homes and lifestyles that will help the environment, but it will also help them too. They'll save on their electricity, gas and water bills and make their homes a more comfortable place to live". "We're working with the City of Sydney to deliver the workshops, and are enthused by the City's commitment to sustainability," said Ms Graham. Lord Mayor Clover Moore MP said the new workshops are just one of many ways that the City is helping to encourage people to live more sustainably. "If we all make small changes to our every day behaviours, collectively, we can make a big difference," said Ms Moore.
